"Honey, I'm home!" Teacher & Zookeeper Ms. Leigh Anne Davis says, even when she's at work.

I give the kids directions on how to cut their 3in. by 3in. square, [and] it is amazing what artists some of these kids turn out to be. It's fun to watch. Some kids that struggle in math the entire year really shine during this unit.

We only make translation (slide) tessellations and rotations (turning). I have never attempted reflections (flipping). I don't know if I'm brave enough to try reflection tessellations."
