This is a rotation (spin, turn) tessellation. It's a little unusual to see this method used by a first-timer, because it's difficult to visualize.

You can see from the result that it's also a little hard to line everything up juuuuust right. Samantha did OK, though.
This tessellation is based on triangles that come together to form hexagons, and then the hexagons come together to cover the whole page.
