Escher style Geometry Art from J. R. Masterman's 9th grade geometry class

amazingly good tesselation of birds, a first-time tessellation artwork by a 9th grade child

It's hard to believe that this piece of art came from a 9th grade child. Its style, the interesting absence of uniform-width lines, the use of color... all these seem to be the work of an older very creative talent.

The JPEG compression used to make this art into a small enough file for the Web has leached away much of the color saturation. I wish you could see the vivid original.
