Escher style ghost tesselation

A ghostly, hauntingly beautiful tessellation by Lydia W., a student in Math Teacher Mary Jo Hughes' combination "8th Grade Math Class and Haunted House*"
in Minnesota. Notice the bat-like shape of these ghosts: very frightening, but with occasional smiles to lighten the mood. This is a 90 degree rotation, a particularly difficult kind of tessellation design. Way to go, Lydia!

Compare this other ghost tessellation to Lydia's, to see how very differently artists can depict the same theme. H'mmm... I'm thinking that this shape is almost like a butterfly shape. Maybe I'll tweak the outlines a little and make a butterfly tessellation.

* No, not really. The other parts are true, though.
