PEGASI & PUZZLE PIECES

Johanna says,

"This was inspired by my math collaged with art. I thought it looked like nothing in the beginning."

This is a nice abstract tessellation. In general, if you're thinking about sending a tessellation to Tessellations.org, please massage the outline until the outline alone suggests a subject-- winged horses, rabbits, heads, stingrays, frying pans, flowers...-- to people. If the outline is unmistakably resembling a thing people recognize, then it's an Escher-style tessellation. This website is mainly about Escher-style tessellations. I think with very little massaging, this tessellation could look like stingrays. Can you see it? Can you re-draw the outlines so it looks more like stingrays, or some other thing?
