THE 2 JOKERS
by Sailor S.
This tessellation shows two tile types with translational (slide) symmetry.
The two tile types are 1) right-facing heads and 2) left-facing heads.
The "tile" (tile = repeating shape) is very neatly, precisely reproduced and fits with all the other tiles perfectly, without gaps or overlaps. That's what a proper tessellation does.
If I offer any constructive criticism, it's this: I wish the artist had done the whole body of each joker. When it's only a couple of heads showing, we have to wonder if the King didn't like the jokers' jokes, or if their bodies are hidden behind the other jokers.
