Escher style Geometry Art from J. R. Masterman's 9th grade geometry class

hippopotamus heads, a first-time tessellation by a child

Like Anea's Angels and Austin's Flying Pigs, Melina's Hippos are translational (slide) tessellation art.

As an Escher-style translation, it would be better if we could recognize the outline of each hippo, complete with four legs and a tail. This one... is just heads. As a first tessellation, though, this one is quite good-- the hippo heads' outlines are easily recognizable, even if we were to color the interiors black and just look at the heads as silhouettes.
