easy dreidel tessellation art by sethness

Happy Hanukkah. Here's a reeeeally easy tessellation to duplicate in class. You can see that its tile shape-- the dreidel-- is merely a lightly modified hexagon.

The dreidel is part of a game played by kids during Hanukkah. The game is played with a spinning top like this one, made from almost anything-- wood, clay, paper, metal...even an acorn.

Dreidel is also spelled "dradel" and "dradle".

The art you see is partly based on an illustration of a dreidel on a school lesson website called
