Woodpecker Sphere

Lesley's work inspired David Annal to carve another ball! This one depicts 8 colourful woodpeckers.

This is a 'jack', as used in the game Bowls. It is made of a composite material and is easier work than wood as there is no grain to guide the burr in wrong directions! It measures 64mm (2.5") in diameter.
